Tests required for admission to an undergraduate teacher preparation program

Note: Pursuant to S.C. Code Ann. § 59-26-20, candidates seeking full admission to an undergraduate teacher preparation program must earn a passing score on a basic skills assessment in Reading, Mathematics, and Writing adopted for this purpose by the South Carolina State Board of Education (SBE). Candidates who earn a qualifying exemption based on their SAT or ACT scores, as approved by the SBE, are not required to complete the basic skills examination.
